Rijksstudio silkscarves

Rijksstudio Award is the biennial art- and design prize from the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. With this competition the Rijksmuseum invites everyone to create their own masterpiece inspired by the Rijksmuseum's collection.

After browsing the rich library of works in the Rijks Museum, I wanted to extract some of my favorites in order to give them new life through a new medium, the silk scarf.
I highlighted the material shapes of each object by outlining them to create a graphic composition. They turn into ready-to-wear accessories.

The colors are chosen are bright and soft at the same time in order to create a rhythm in the graphic composition of these scarves. The object is captioned so that visitors always have the source on them, which is very important to me.

I was particularly keen to choose reusable packaging once the scarf was unwrapped in order to multiply the memory of the Rijks Museum and to think about our environment. This tin can become your pencil holder, your chopstick holder, etc. For merchandising, it will be easy to set up and will surely intrigue the visitor.

Hope you enjoy it ! Thanks for watching ! Take care :)
